In a recent study, Which? revealed 20 places that tourists should be wary of.
Which? analysed different destinations, before ranking them in terms of safety.
It took crime rates, terror threat, natural disasters and health concerns into consideration when putting together its list.
Findings showed that South Africa was the least safe country in terms of illegal activity, while Japan was the most prone to being struck by a deathly act of God.
Other nations that featured on the list include European countries of Italy, France and Greece.
Thailand, Morocco and the USA are other locations that are frequented by British holidaymakers.
