The travel review website has launched an enlightening list of the top 10 most visited sites for 2018.
Romes Colosseum was named the most-visited monument of the year, ahead of the Vatican Museums which came in second place.
New York's most famous attraction – the Statue of Liberty – came in third. While Paris' Louvre Museum and the Eiffel Tower came in fourth and fifth place respectively.
Stonehenge was the only UK attraction which made it into the top 10, coming in eighth place.
However, in the list of top British tourist sites, the prehistoric monument in Wiltshire made it to the top spot.
Stonehenge ranked above other popular UK destinations including the Tower of London and Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands.
Northern Irelands Giants Causeway and Edinburgh Castle rounded off the top five British attractions.
TripAdvisor ranked the years top attractions using data from all experience bookings made on the site in 2018.

“Experiences bookings continued to grow this year and were seeing travellers to the UK heading further afield to discover the country beyond Londons famed attractions,” says Hayley Coleman, a TripAdvisor spokesperson.
“For the many travellers who still wish to see Londons iconic sites, skip-the-line and special access tours, like a Beefeater Tour of the Tower of London or a Champagne Experience at the London Eye, are great options to put a twist on any visit to these world famous spots.”
Earlier this year TripAdvisor announced the top 10 travel destinations in the world at their annual Travellers Choice Awards.
Paris was named the top location, based of the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings gathered over a 12-month period.
Interestingly the second best-rated location was London, followed by Rome, Bali and Crete.
