NEW DELHI: Reliance Communications with over 1.16 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of NCC (number of shares traded: 0.81 crore), Bank of India (number of shares traded: 0.36 crore) , JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), South Indian Bank (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 0.27 crore), IDFC Bank (number of shares traded: 0.23 crore) and Vedanta (number of shares traded: 0.22 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

Indiabulls Housing Finance (Rs 151.05 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by Infosys (Rs 88.31 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 75.17 crore), NCC (Rs 71.92 crore), RIL (Rs 61.66 crore) , YES Bank (Rs 56.81 crore) , SBI (Rs 45.21 crore), Vedanta (Rs 43.63 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs 42.61 crore) and TCS (Rs 42.05 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 52 points down at 10,915.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 161.57 points at 36,322.76 around 09:26 am on Thursday.

In the Nifty index, Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 1.41 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.16 per cent) , Asian Paints (up 1.01 per cent) , YES Bank (up 0.86 per cent) and Tech Mahindra (up 0.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Vedanta (down 2.42 per cent), Hindalco Industries (down 2.27 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 1.52 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 1.52 per cent) and NTPC (down 1.34 per cent) were the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
