Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, made a teeny fashion faux pas during a recent visit in Dubai.
During a trip to the city, Sarah, 59, was joined by A-list celebs like Susan Sarandon and Ben Stiller, at the Artists for Peace and Justice & Bovet 1822 Gala.
Wearing a floor-length white gown with gold detailing, Fergie looked stunning as she gave a speech and presented an award at the charity Gala, which raised over one million dollars in support of education in Haiti.
Although the former wife of Prince Andrew dazzled at the event, and is usually praised for her elegant style, her outfit change later that day sparked criticism from fans.
Sarah, who is mum to Princess Beatrice, 30 and Princess Eugenie, 28, uploaded a pic to Instagram that evening where she is seen in the desert alongside a camel.
Posing in a yellow long-sleeved top, a black skirt and black flats, the Duchess shared the image with her 160k followers and thanked the charities for the occasion.

However, Fergies decision to wear tights in the sweltering 30°C heat left many fans confused.

Even in sand you wear pantyhose and slip ons???? asked one puzzled Instagram user, while another commented, Love you Sarah but sandy loafers and tights cant be comfy! X
Noting that it is protocol for female royals to always wear tights, a third fan added, Im sorry but I dont care what the royal rules are, I would not wear stockings. But its probably important to note that while shes still the Duchess of York, Fergie is no longer an official member of the royal family.
Several of the Duchess fans jumped to her defence and commented on how gorgeous the Duchess looked in her bright ensemble.

We usually love Fergies fashion, but even we have to agree that tights in the desert looks a tad uncomfortable!
