With Christmas right around the corner, were all set to eat and drink to our hearts content.
Of course, the festive season is all about being with your nearest and dearest – as Coleen Nolan demonstrated during her recent return to Loose Women.
Its been a difficult year for Coleen, who decided to take a break from the show earlier in the year following the bout of controversy surrounding Kim Woodburns infamous panel appearance.
As her former Celebrity Big Brother co-star Kim appeared on the show, the panel broke out into a furious debate – causing the controversial scenes to leave viewers divided over Coleens position on the show.
Returning back to the panel for the very first time as host during todays edition of the hit ITV show, the 53-year-old explained that her festive plans to reunite with ex husband Ray Fensome following a “difficult” year.
Speaking with the panel, Coleen explained: “This last year has been very painful. Very painful for the both of you.
“[Ray and I] split and were now divorced. We have never been as good friends as we are now.”
Coleen, who split from Ray in 2017 following their 17-year marriage, added that she couldnt bare the thought of her former husband being alone during the festivities.
Speaking of the father of her 17-year-old daughter Ciara, Coleen shared: “I couldnt think anything worse than Ray being alone and weve got Ciara together.
“So he is coming over on Christmas Eve and staying until Boxing Day.”
As Coleen shared her plans, both the audience and her co-stars applauded in respect for the decision.
Following Coleens emotional admission, viewers have taken to social media to share kind words for her return to the show.
“Ahhh thats great to see @NolanColeen is back presenting @loosewomen #LooseWomen,” shared one.
Agreeing, another added: “Big shout out to @NolanColeen lovely lady.”
