Going away without knowing where you are going is going to be a big trend in 2019, with searches for surprise destination increasing by 192%.

Holidays dont have to be in the summer. Searches for autumn getaways are up 94%.

Warm natural water sounds pretty relaxing. Searches are up by 32%.

Exploring ruins without a visitor centre and gift shop attached is a new trend with searches increasing by 142%.

Thrifty travellers are turning to cheap public transport to get around. Searches have gone up by 32%.

After the World Cup and 2016 Olympics in Brazil, Rio has become a must-see destination. Searches for the city are up by 142% on Pinterest.

Its not all about big city life. Searches for small town travel have increased by 276%.

Bike tours are an easy and cheap way to get around and see as much as possible. Searches are up by 64%.

We want to see the world but we want to see it at the same time. Searches for ways to travel and be sustainable are up by 74%.
