Kathleen Shaw regularly exposes the bad behaviour of holidaymakers.

The former flight attendant is the brains behind Passenger Shaming, a viral Instagram page.

Over the past months, shes shared snaps of travellers flashing their thongs and scrubbing their feet on planes.

And while these acts may seem incomprehensible, theyre nothing compared to what the air hostess has seen in the past.

In a recent interview with Sunrise, Kathleen opened up about her most bizarre experience as a flight attendant.

She recalled the time a plane passenger was caught doing drugs in the cabin loo.

Mortifyingly, the chaps illegal activity was revealed when he managed to catch his hair on fire.

The travel expert recalled: "The worst thing that I've personally seen was probably a gentleman who caught his hair on fire while he was in the lavatory during a flight smoking crack cocaine… So that happened.”

PLANE ANNOYING: Surprisingly, naked and foot-flashing passengers weren't deemed to be the worst (Pic: INSTAGRAM/PASSENGER SHAMING)

Kathleen set-up Passenger Shaming 11 years ago.

The Instagram account has amassed a huge following over the last decade, with 700,000 people following it.

Revealing what motivated her to set-up the social media page, she wrote: “I just felt like I needed to rant about the crazy stuff that was happening on board.

“I feel like it's happening everywhere.

“We get a lot of photos of things happening in the terminal and obviously on the aircraft itself.”

While some blame airlines for packing passengers into planes too tightly, Kathleen believes everyone is responsible for their own behaviour.

She added: “I don't necessarily buy into we don't have enough space – it's an excuse to say that there's an issue that we can't behave like proper human beings…

“People think that they spend an X amount of money on a flight so that entitles them to treat the aircraft as they wish.

“Unfortunately, the aircraft is not your living room and you're on public transportation you're not on a private jet.”
