Olivia Newton-John has rubbished claims that she has just “weeks to live” following her latest cancer battle.
It was alleged that the 70-year-old singers body functions were “shutting down”, but this has since been rubbished.
Olivias Micheal Caprio dispelled the rumours, adding that the claims are so wrong its “hilarious”.
“You might want to get better sources versus reading tabloids,” Micheal stated.
The source quotes were first published by US website Radar Online, where an insider claimed: “Olivias bodily functions appear to be shutting down, but she refuses to let go until she makes it through [her daughter] Chloes wedding day.”
Furthering concern, these claims were then followed by Australian entertainment website Now to Love, with a source asserting Olivia to have a “prognosis [of] weeks not months” to live.
The fake news would have come as a nasty surprise for fans of Olivia, as the star has bravely faced a long running battle with breast cancer.
In May 2017, Olivia was diagnosed with breast cancer for a third time – more than 20 years after her first diagnosis.
She also secretly battled breast cancer for a second time back in 2013, but decided not to discuss it.
Explaining why she chose not to go public with her second diagnosis, Olivia said: “I thought, Its my life, and I just decided to keep it to myself.”
In September of last year, Olivia candidly revealed the daily realities of her battle – telling Sunday Night that she refuses to “create fear”.
“Id be lying if I said I never [get scared]. There are moments, Im human,” she said.
“If I allowed myself to go there, I could easily create that big fear. But my husbands always there, and hes there to support me. I believe I will win over it. Thats my goal.”
Wishing Olivia and family a wonderful 2019!
