Tina: The Tina Turner Musical celebrated its first birthday on Wednesday night after a triumphant 12 months in Londons West End.
Joined by a host of celebrity guests, such as Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Prue Leith and Mel Giedroyc, new Tina, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe led the cast as they gave the audience a stunning insight into the life and music of the legend that is Tina Turner at the Aldwych Theatre.
The show received its world premiere in London in April 2018 and follows Tinas – real name Anna Maes – humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock n Roll, in which Tina didnt just break the rules, she rewrote them.
Fans will discover the untold story of the singer, now aged 79, who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.
