Former Coronation star Catherine Tyldesley has hit back at the soap, slamming her ex job for its gruelling work schedule.

The 35-year-old actress starred in the award winning ITV soap for seven years before quitting her role as barmaid Eva Price in 2018.

Catherine has now hit back at the shows gruelling schedule, which she said robbed her of time “she will never get back”.

Detailing that the 12-hour shifts that took a toll on her personal life, she hinted that the tiresome filming timetable meant she struggled to find the hours to enjoy family life with her four-year-old son Alfie and hubby Tom Pitford.

The telly star revealed, “It was 7am to 7pm every day at Corrie.

“Those are moments in your life you never get back. I love spending more time with my little boy now.”

Catherine even confessed that since leaving the soap, she hasnt found time to watch any of the drama on the cobbles.

Speaking to The Daily Star she continued, “Ive not managed to watch it. Im too busy.”

The show has been going through a cast crisis recently, with seven stars quitting in the past three months and more reportedly rethinking their future on the soap.
