Poon Tip set up G in 1990, with the company going on to become one of the leading adventure touring specialists globally.

It spawned in 2003 not-for-profit partner the Planeterra Foundation, which aims to insure cash generated by tourism stays, wherever possible, in the communities visited by Gs tours.

Earlier this month, Poon Tip took a team of nearly 30 journalists, photographers and other members of the media on a tour of some of Planeterras work in India and Nepal.

He sat down with TTG news editor Jennifer Morris to discuss the three trips in his life that have inspired a lifelong passion for travel.

Poon Tips story, which went live on Friday (24 May), is the fourth to feature on Trips of the Trade after Der Touristik UK chief executive Derek Jones, Funway Holidays managing director Melissa Tilling and Celebrity Cruises vice-president and MD for Ireland, UK and Asia, Jo Rzymowska
