A terminally-ill schoolboy made his mums dream come true when he walked her down the aisle.
Jack Connelly, who was born with a heart valve defect which has already required three major surgeries, managed to play a central role in parents Maxine and Michaels wedding.
Dressed in a kilt matching his dads outfit, the eight-year-old accompanied his mum down the aisle as they tied the knot in front of 75 guests at the Dumfries Arms in East Ayrshire on June 30.
The mum-of-four did not know if Jack would ever get to see his parents marry.
She said: I really felt like crying, it was a moment that I honestly thought Id never have. Im so proud of him.
The couple married after a 13-year romance and have three other children; nine-year-old Lucy, Sophie aged four, and two-year-old Ellie.

Jack was diagnosed with heart valve defect Tricuspid atresia while still in the womb.
His condition makes him very tired, and he has already had three open heart surgeries, the first lasting a gruelling 16 hours when he was just five days old.
He will one day need a heart transplant and often needs to use a wheelchair but managed to do without for the wedding ceremony.
Maxine, 30, said: When I was halfway down the aisle, Michael had tears running down his face.
He hardly gets emotional so you never see that side of him.
I always say to him, “its OK for men to cry”.
One day Jack will need a heart transplant and he often has to use a wheelchair. But he managed to do without for the wedding ceremony.
The wedding coordinator brought Jack up to my room after I got dressed, Maxine said.
When he came into the room the first thing he said was “Mummy you look so beautiful”.
When he said that I had this lump in my throat, I tried my best to not cry, so I held it back.
But my eyes were full. It was so hard, he was so cute wearing his kilt.
