Princess Dianas former bodyguard has come out in defence of Meghan Markle after she was criticised when her minder told a guest at Wimbledon to stop taking pictures of her.
Ken Wharfe said the Duchess of Sussexs bodyguard was more to blame than her.
He told This Morning: From what I can see I dont think she was complaining about it, I think the bodyguard got slightly over zealous and the process of that makes the problem even worse.
Diana just got on and lived with it. Thats what royals do – they like this.
I dont know if she (Meghan) gave advice to her bodyguard or otherwise but it appears to me hes taken it upon himself to deal with it, which is a mistake.
Mr Wharfe said he would never have dreamed of stopping people taking photos when he was working for Princess Diana because hed be chasing down photographers across the world if he did.

He added Meghan could never really have privacy at a public event and she would never have given an instruction to stop taking photos.
Former sports presenter Sally Jones, 64, had earlier said she almost burst out laughing when the Duchess of Sussexs bodyguard told her to stop taking photos of the royal.
She told Good Morning Britain: I was a bit gobsmacked. I thought; “Have I upset people?” Then suddenly I felt a bit angry, and a bit bemused.
Miss Jones, BBCs first woman sports presenter for Breakfast News, had been happily taking snaps of tennis player Serena Williams prior to her run-in with security.
