Its Super Sunday and thankfully, the British weather looks set to support a jam-packed day of sport.

Most of the country will be in for a dry and fine day today, with just a few drizzly showers on the eastern coast.

It means Tennis fans should be able to enjoy Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal battle it out in the Wimbledon mens final, while the weather will also remain calm for the Cricket World Cup.

Todays game is the England teams first World Cup final in 27 years.

Met Office forecaster Helen Roberts said: Today will consist of a lot of dry, fine weather. There will be a couple of drizzly showers but they are the exception rather than the rule.

There could be some stubborn cloud over eastern parts of the country, so places like Lincolnshire will feel slightly cooler.

The cricket World Cup final kicked off at Lords late this morning, thanks to a spot of rain.

New Zealand won the toss to be first to bat and lost their first wicket with 29 runs on the board after starting at a brisk pace.

Thousands of fans have chosen to watch the game at open-air venues across the UK, with many seen donning hats and England flags at Trafalgar Square in London.
