Shocking footage shows moment security guard outside The Savoy Hotel brutally beats supposed rough sleeper

Shocking footage has emerged of a doorman brutally beating and repeatedly kicking a supposed rough sleeper in the face outside the five-star luxury Savoy Hotel.

The upsetting video shows a bald security guard, dressed in a smart black suit, throwing punches at the man before dragging him to the floor and continuing to strike him.

As the victim curls up on the floor attempting to shield himself outside the £500-a-night London hotel, the guard kicks him twice in the face, before holding onto a giant flower pot and jumping on his upper body.

Two doormen, one dressed in a top hat, watch on as the savage attack continues outside the celebrity haunt set back from The Strand, which took place on December 30, last year.

Since the footage has been released by MailOnline, The Savoy Hotel today told the news site it had launched an investigation into the incident.

Met Police told Metro.co.uk they were aware of the incident.

A spokeswoman for The Savoy Hotel said they had not previously been aware of the matter.

She confirmed that the unnamed security guard who launched the attack – wearing a black suit – is not an employee of The Savoy Hotel.

The spokeswoman added that he worked for a third party security contractor.

It is thought the victim in the video is a rough sleeper, reported MailOnline, who is seen dressed in a woolly hat, a jacket with high visability stripes and baggy jeans.
