Britains first mum to have 10 sons in a row has finally welcomed a baby girl.
Alexis Brett, 39, was so convinced she would be having another boy she almost didnt ask the sonographer for the gender of her 11th child.
But she and husband Davie were gobsmacked to discover they would be having their first daughter, stating that it is a lovely way to complete the family.
She said: We are absolutely in love with her. The whole family is besotted.
Whenever we have brought a new baby home, the family is thrilled and want to help, but this time the boys have been even more excited.
They are desperate to help out and want to do everything for her. Everyone wants to help put her in pretty dresses and her brothers are very protective of her.

Alexis, a former nurse who now works as a fitness instructor, said: I just didnt really think we were capable of making a girl.
We barely thought it was worth finding out the gender, because its the same every time.
We decided to do a little gender reveal for the family though, as they boys were so excited – when we opened the envelope and found out we were having a girl, I thought theyd got it wrong.
It would have been just as exciting to have another son, because I love having boys – but I am thrilled that Im not quite so outnumbered at home any more.
