Former prime minister Theresa May has been pictured in a classic local campaign shot – pointing at a pothole in her constituency.
Perhaps preparing to adorn her leaflets with some images of life after Number 10, Mrs May joined up with the leader of her local council, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, to smile gleefully at a hole in the road.
Council leader Simon Dudley tweeted: "With @theresa_may reporting her first potholes in Alexandra Road in Belmont ward in #Maidenhead under the new 24 hour working repair scheme from @RBWM."
It's a far cry from her days negotiating the Brexit deal in Brussels, and her smile is probably wider than new leader Boris Johnson's, who has dealt with the resignations of two ministers in two days, shortly after sacking 21 of his Tory MPs and losing his Commons majority.
A visibly relaxed Mrs May was wearing white Converse and a navy suit, along with minimal jewellery, but didn't appear to be sporting her famous Frida Kahlo bracelet.
