Two men accused of plotting the honour killing of a 25-year-old relative who denounced Islam and became a porn star appeared in court today.
Mohammed Patman, 54, and Darya Khan Safi, 49, are facing extradition to Slovakia where they face charges of planning to kidnap and murder their target.
The two Afghans travelled to Europe to find Patmans daughter but were arrested at UK homes on Wednesday, September 3, Westminster Magistrates Court heard.
The woman was reportedly living in Austria and working in Slovakia at an adult film company she ran with her husband.
Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) tracked the duo as they got ready to make their overseas trips after being alerted by the Slovakian authorities, the court heard.
Investigators say they saw the pair blacking out windows and putting winter tyres on a car they used to drive to the two countries.

They said phone and internet records showed them talking about their murder plot.
Both men appeared at court to apply for bail today but the hearing was almost immediately adjourned because no interpreter was available for Pashto-speaking Safi.
Safi was arrested at his home in Coventry, West Midlands, and Patman at his home in Ilford, east London.
