A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a fairground ride in East Yorkshire.
Police believe she fell from one attraction on to the base of another at Hull Fair on Monday evening, with a teenage boy also hurt after being struck by the women as she fell.
Both rides have been closed as officers and health and safety workers from Hull City Council investigate, while the woman continues to receive treatment after being taken to hospital.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, and the teenager was not seriously hurt.
The accident came just a few days after the opening of the long-running and popular fair, which is held over the course of a week in October every year.
