Three UK mobile customers are still without data or signal after a network failure last night.

The website Downdetector, which offers a live overview of outages across different networks, says the problems started at 11:29pm last night.

The data failure means users are unable to access the internet, while the loss of signal means customers cannot make calls or send text messages.

Downdetector reports complaints have been logged in cities including Manchester, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Liverpool.

A map also shows complaints were reported in Nottingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Belfast.

Twitter user Bryan Elwick wrote: "Hey ThreeMobile (sic), what have you done with all my lovely mobile data? I'm bereft without it. Please sort asap… @ThreeUK @ThreeUKSupport."

Alexandre Dias posted: "Complete meltdown of @ThreeUK, no service anywhere, website no working, etc. Imagine being out at midnight and having to call 999 and not being able to do it. Incredible."

Dan Checklin tweeted on Thursday morning: "@ThreeUK how's about I keep my money this month? I'm paying for unlimited everything and I've currently had no internet access or signal for 10 hours."

The majority of users who flagged the issue with Downdetector cited problems with mobile internet.

Three UK has not yet confirmed what caused the outage, how many people have been affected, or when it is expected to be resolved.
