An amateur boxer has told a courtroom that a teenager confessed "I just stabbed someone" after schoolgirl Jodie Chesney was fatally knifed in an east London park.
Defendant Svenson Ong-a-Kwie has blamed his 17-year-old co-accused over the killing of the Girl Scout as she relaxed with friends in Amy's Park in Harold Hill on 1 March.
Giving evidence at the Old Bailey, the 19-year-old suspect said he had been preparing the unnamed youth to take over his drug dealing business so he could focus on becoming a professional boxer.
On the day of Jodie's death, Ong-a-Kwie said he had called on Manuel Petrovic, who is also on trial, to give them a lift to Amy's Park to meet a customer.
When they arrived, they found no one was waiting for them at the entrance to the park, and Ong-a-Kwie decided to enter the play area with the youth.

Charles Sherrard QC, defending, asked: "At any time did you have on you a weapon?"
The defendant replied: "No, no, I don't carry weapons."

Ong-a-Kwie said he and the youth walked up to Jodie, 17, and her friends in the play area, thinking they might be his customers.
Explaining what happened next, he told the packed courtroom: "As we walked through the gate (the boy) was on my left. We walked up to the group. I did not see what happened.
"I looked to my left, something caught my eye. I saw (the boy) jump over the railings and fall on his face."
Ong-a-Kwie told jurors he was unaware of what happened before he started running.
"I saw him running, so I started running," he said.
He said it all happened in a matter of seconds and he did not see a weapon.
He continued: "I jumped in the passenger side first. I remember (the boy) jumped in the back. He said: 'Go go go'. He said: 'I just stabbed someone'.
"I asked him who and he said he thought it was Tash. I heard him talking about him before.
"I said 'what do you mean, you thought it was Tash?' He said 'nah'.
