A suspect package at the City of London’s tallest skyscraper brought the area to standstill on Monday.
Police threw up a 200 metre cordon around the Heron Tower in Bishopsgate, with nearby roads closed off to traffic and pedestrians.
A number of bus routes in the Square Mile were diverted. The disruption hit roads around Liverpool Street station, one of the City’s main commuter hubs.
Just after 1pm City of London police said package has been deemed non-suspicious.
The Heron Tower, officially known as the Salesforce Tower, is the tallest building in the City of London at 230 metres. It was completed in 2011.
