Lisa Armstrong breaks her social media silence following split news from Ant McPartlin to discuss their beloved pet dog Hurley

Following the shocking news of Ant McPartlin’s and Lisa Armstrong’s divorce, the couple have refrained from addressing their sad separation on social media.

The pair have now both returned to work at Britain’s Got Talent, but are yet to speak about their emotional split on their Twitter or Instagram accounts.

But, Ant has posted about his return to the popular talent show though, writing on his and Dec’s shared Instagram “Ahh, back where we belong!
A, #BGT #blackpool #backinthewings”. The caption featured alongside a picture of him and his partner-in-crime – aww.

However, estranged wife Lisa has refrained from posting on her social media accounts – that is, up until Wednesday.

The Strictly make-up artist posted her very first message since the sad announcement of her divorce, in response to recent ITV programme Britain’s Favourite Dogs.

She tweeted responding to a message from a fan, who posted a picture of hers and Ant’s adorable labrador, Hurley.

Labrador’s came top in the show’s survey of dogs. And one Twitter user wrote, “Never in doubt #BritainsFavouriteDogs #labrador #chocolate #pet #dog”

Lisa, clearly proud of her pet pooch, responded, “My baby boy and his #furryfam #BritainsFavouriteDogs xx pic @harrypageimages”.

It’s the first time Ant’s ex has spoken up after the news of the split. And the loving tweet clearly show’s Lisa’s adoration of her pup.

But it certainly seems poignant that it’s their beloved dog she’s chosen to speak up about, as the tweet follows the news that she and Ant are set for a tricky custody battle for their precious Hurley.

Ant has now moved out of their shared West London mansion, and it’s said the pair are looking to draw up and agreement about how much they get to see the pup.

It’s not known if the former couple will share joint custody of the Lab, or whether either one will fight to keep him.

A source speaking to The Sun claimed, “Ant adores Hurley – he’s like his child – but obviously so does Lisa who calls him ‘my boy’.

“It’s a very sensitive situation because they always thought they would raise him together, but they are currently sharing custody and there will be a formal agreement made in the coming weeks.”

If this latest tweet is anything to go by, it seems Lisa is keen to see as much of her beloved pooch as she can…

If things weren’t tricky enough, it’s also been said that BGT producers have had to make a big change in order to ensure things stay civil between Lisa Armstrong and Ant behind-the-scenes.

Lisa is a make-up artist on the popular ITV show – and of course, Ant is presenter of the programme.

And in order to keep things civil during production, it’s said that Lisa is has been permenantely moved to the make-up team on the show’s spin-off. Reportedly, she’ll be doing Stephen Mulhern’s make-up and guests, in order to avoid any ‘awkward run-ins’ with her ex.

According to The Sun, “They are all keen to keep things civilised with Ant.”

Eek – let’s hope everything stays as friendly as possible!
