The couple travelled to the beauty spot during a recent tour of Scotland. The pair, who run travel platform Travel Beans with 14k Instagram followers and an amazing 150,000 subscribers on their Youtube account.
Alex told Express.co.uk: “The Cairngorms is a really underrated spot in the UK.
“It’s the largest national park in the UK, two times the size of the Lake District. Four out of five of the largest peaks in the UK are there.”
Emma added: “It is really lovely they’ve got reindeer there. You can go and see reindeer and they are gorgeous.
“They’re semi-wild. They were reintroduced in the 50s, I think because the environment’s perfect for them.”
The Cairngorms are a mountain range in the highlands, the most famous mountain being Cairn Gorm.
It is home to Britain’s only herd of reindeer. Other wildlife includes the mountain hare and red grouse.
There are also red squirrels living in the area, and pine martin.
Visitors to the area can enjoy snow and ice climbing, hill walking, and ski touring.
The couple was not expecting to enjoy the area so much, coming as a surprise as they began their NC 500 route tour.
The NC 500, or North Coast 500, is a 516-mile scenic drive around the north coast of Scotland.
Alex praised the area, including the drive to the Cairngorms: “Up until the point where we got there I would say it’s probably the most drive scenic drive we’ve done.”
He referred to the Snow Roads, a 90-mile journey in the Cairngorms National Park.
“The Snow Roads are the highest public roads in the UK. It’s incredible. I would highly recommend that.”
Emma went on: “I would actually say if anyone is just looking for a place to spend a week in Scotland and they don’t want to drive around too much, I would say the Cairngorms is the best because there’s so much variety in a relatively small space.”
Alex agreed and said: “We had planned to drive straight through on the way up to the North Coast 500 It was so good that we stayed for three days, and we could have stayed for weeks.
“If it wasn’t for work, we would have.”
