There’s nothing Brits love more than a good queue – they just do it so well.

And this week Londoners have once again proved this.

How, you ask? By patiently waiting in line to cross a giant puddle caused by a burst water main, that’s how.

Yes, dozens of commuters were filmed this morning standing in an orderly fashion on Tooting High Street.

The edge of the flooded road was the only way people could get around the water to reach the train station.

According to reports, the burst pipe forced multiple road diversions and affected around 20 properties in south-west London.

A series of burst water mains incidents have occurred across the capital as a result of pipes freezing during the recent Beast from the East polar vortex.

Earlier today, Wandsworth Police tweeted a picture of the scene, near Tooting Broadway Station, that was strewn with debris as water gushed from a crack in the pavement.

‘Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid Tooting High Street, SW17 following a suspected burst water pipe. Road closures are in place,’ the tweet said.
