Lisa Riley has revealed that shes got engaged to boyfriend Al and couldnt be happier.
The actress – who fell in love with musician Al after they were introduced by friends in 2014 – posted a selfie as she showed off her ring on Monday and gushed about the relationship milestone.
“Yes I can now confirm the rumours are true….I have got engaged,” Lisa, 41, captioned the snap. “my soul mate and best mate and love of my life Al is the best thing to have ever happened to me”
Whilst the TV star is clearly thrilled, she explained that the couple arent in any hurry to get down the aisle and are content as they are.
“we have absolutely NO date set for ANY wedding day, just happy together…,” Lisa told her followers.

Since sharing her lovely news Lisa has received lots of congratulatory words from fans and friends alike.
“Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas #love sooooooo happy for you,” her former Strictly Come Dancing partner Robin Windsor commented, whilst Great British Bake Off star Candice Brown added: “Congratulations to you!! Best feeling in the world!!!! So much love sent to you!!”
It comes after Lisa spoke of her love for Al in March when she revealed that she hoped they might have a child together.
“There are a lot of reasons why I want to have a baby: some to do with the fact Ive saved myself by losing weight, but also that Im in love for the first time in my life and he would like to have a baby if we can,” the Loose Women panellist told You magazine. “I dont just think about myself any more. If we were to have a child, that would be wonderful.”
However Lisa – who has shed 12 stone thanks to overhauling her lifestyle – admitted just a few weeks later that her hopes had been dashed after undergoing fertility tests. She was told by doctors that her eggs are so poor that its unlikely shell ever fall pregnant.
Following this news Lisa and Al decided that theyd rather not go down the potentially very stressful route of IVF.
“I dont want to do that,” she told The Daily Mirror. “We have decided now that we arent going to go down that route, and now that we have made that decision I could not be happier.”
Al prefers to stay out of the limelight but Lisa has called him “very talented and very, very lovely”.
