Reese Witherspoon CONFIRMS Legally Blonde 3 is happening

Whilst it might be over 17 years since the first ever Legally Blonde film, it would appear its time to dust of the textbooks – as the film has been confirmed to return for a third time!

Reese Witherspoon has taken to Instagram to confirm the happy news of a Legally Blonde 3 flick.

Captioned simply Its true…. #LegallyBlonde3′, Reese floats past the camera in character as Elle – looking the exact same in her iconic Legally Blonde pink bikini, despite now being 41-years-old.

The news has also been confirmed by the film production team, which is made up of much of the original creative team.

Writers of the first film, Kirsten Kiwi Smith and Karen McCullah, are in talks to write the new movie. Marc Platt, who produced the original, is also believed to be making a return along with Platt Productions president Adam Siegel.

Many people have already taken to social media to share their joy at the return of the iconic chick flick.

Taking to Twitter, one user shares: Me seeing that #LegallyBlonde3 is officially happening.

Another user shares, Reese Witherspoon confirmed that #legallyblonde3 will be in the making, and this just made my entire day!!!.

Another writes, WHAT A WARM FUZZY TO WAKE UP TO THIS MORNING #LegallyBlonde3.

And theyre not the only ones….

Looks like near enough everyone is looking forward to the return of Elle Woods.

Luckily for the Legally Blonde wardrobe team, it doesnt look like their going to have to do too much work to bring Elle into 2018.

In fact, 42-year-old Reese had recently taken to Snapchat to share a snap of herself trying on some classic Elle Woods outfits – and she looks exactly the same, despite the passing of almost two decades!
