Stock market update: These stocks plunged over 7% on NSE on Monday

NEW DELHI: Shares of Allahabad Bank (down 7.35 per cent), Idea Cellular (down 7.18 per cent) and IFB Industries (down 7.02 per cent) plunged over 7 per cent on NSE on Monday, featuring among the top losers of the day.

Stocks such as Meghmani Organics (down 6.95 per cent), Heritage Foods (down 6.84 per cent), Tata Motors (down 6.31 per cent), Sundaram Finance (down 6.10 per cent), HFCL (down 5.98 per cent), Panacea Biotec (down 5.53 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 5.42 per cent) and TeamLease Services (down 5.13 per cent) tanked over 5 per cent.

Headline indices Sensex and Nifty finished Monday's trade with losses, tracking weak global cues, as worries of a trade war between the US and world's other economies kept haunting investors.

The BSE Sensex stopped at 35,470, down 219 points or 0.61 per cent.

Nifty pared 59 points, or 0.55 per cent, finishing day's trade at 10,762.

Overall, 14 stocks remained in the green in the Nifty index, compared with 35 in the red and one unchanged.

Sensex settled with 7 stocks advancing and 24 declining.

Tata Motors, HPCL, ICICI Bank featured as the top losers in the Nifty index.
