The future of bitcoin might be uncertain, but we now know the fate of our Prime Minister's eponymous cryptocurrency.

The Theresa May coin has been officially listed as deceased by Deadcoins, after the parody token dropped to a near miniscule value of $0.0005 per coin on Coinmarketcap last week.

First created in 2017, the Theresa May coin surpassed a market cap of $400,000 in its heyday. Powered by a trending topic on Twitter, investors scrambled to grab a piece of this piece of history despite it having no clear use case.

TrumpCoin is also nearing a similar fate, holding a value of just four cents per coin at the time of writing. One wonders how long it will be before we might see the US President's name appearing alongside May's on Deadcoins, in what could perhaps be a sign of things to come in US-UK relations.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's coin, once the highest of in the pack of world leader cryptocurrencies, now sits at a value of less than a penny per PutinCoin.

There has been no response from Downing Street as of yet on the death of May's beloved currency, but we're sure the PM is just taking some time to grieve.
