Catherine Tyldesley made an awkward blunder on Lorraine today when she was tasked with presenting a cooking segment.
The former Coronation Street star dropped by the ITV studios to rustle up a healthy tandoori salmon curry from scratch.
But while weve already bought all the ingredients to make the delicious dish for our dinner, some viewers were left a little bit annoyed when 35-year-old Catherine accidentally mixed up her ingredients.
Things started off well as the actress listed off a variety of spices for the curry, but she then advised fans to swap yogurt made from cows milk with one made from sheeps milk.
Speaking to the camera, she said, “Weve got some natural yogurt, now you can use sheeps yogurt as well if you are lactose intolerant. Or use lacto free yogurt.”
And while sheeps milk is less likely to trigger allergies, all mammal milks are classified as dairy. Oops.
“@lorraine please use people who know about nutrition for your food segments. Sheeps yoghurt is not lactose free!” said one follower.
While a second slammed, “Why does #Lorraine keep having out-of-work actors and out-of-work TV presenters doing their cooking segments? Get a proper chef.” Ouch!
Although some were quick to point out just how great the recipe is regardless of Caths slip up.
“Think Ill be making @Cath_Tyldesley Tandoori Salmon as seen on @lorraine this morning. That looked absolutely mouth watering,” said one viewer.
And a second added, “Definitely making this all that i love on a plate looks gorgeous.”
Meanwhile, Catherine has been sharing her diet secrets after shedding five stone which she piled on during her teenage years.
The star has previously admitted she was a size 22 at the age of 18 before deciding to take action.
“I took control of my weight, and I slowly and steadily lost more than five stone,” she said.
“Along the way, I learned to understand just how important a healthy, balanced diet is. It sparked my huge interest in healthy living and nutrition.”
