A boneheaded police suspect shared his own ‘wanted’ appeal on Facebook and branding detectives ‘muppits’.
Jamie Murphy is wanted in connection with a domestic violence allegation in November and is not happy Preston Police are ‘talking about my business’.

Preston Police posted the appeal, with a mugshot of Murphy, at 10.30am yesterday and by 2.30pm he had already started commenting underneath the post, which police claim has been seen by 77,000 people.
He posted: ‘People want to mind their own business and concentrate on their own life’s and family instead of sharing my life with your friends and posting comments, get a life.’
A comment which sparked disbelief and shock on Facebook, quickly getting over 1,100 likes, laughs and annoyed emojis.
Some were even positive, with Danny Bower replying: ‘Gwan lad lol.’
And Leroy Gavigan added: ‘Hahaha you sick guy. Keep ya head down bro.’
However, the majority were scathing of Murphy’s intervention on his own police appeal.
Jessie Nicely said: ‘Hand yourself in then, and sort this out. No point whinging because it’s on Facebook.’
And then the police decided to reply to Murphy’s comments, and they owned him.

Preston Police posted: ‘Jamie – Happy to take the post down when you do as Carol Martin says and “man up” and hand yourself in. If not we will find you like we always do!
‘Sgt Hesketh has been in touch with you and tried to warn you that we would post an appeal via social media so you cannot say that you were not warned.’
‘See you when you are arrested.’
And they had a warning for him if he continued to evade the long arm of the law after he complained about social media being ‘judge, jury and executioner’.
Preston Police commented: ‘What’s said on here (Facebook) doesn’t affect the allegation; including defending yourself.
‘Come and do it properly- on tape, or you’ll soon be finding yourself sleeping with one eye open, next to an unlocked door with your trainers on – because this isn’t going to go away, and we’re not going to stop looking for you.’
Then Murphy shared the police appeal on his own Facebook profile with the caption ‘muppits’ (sic).

And Facebookers then got the popcorn out and watched and as Murphy has left his Facebook profile ‘public’ so anyone could get involved.
And they did, calling him an ‘idiot’, ‘the gift that keeps on giving’ and even speculating ‘bet he voted Brexit’.
Angered by all the attention he signed off with another status which read: ‘F**k Facebook n f**k Preston police like I said their slow.’
Aidy Best said it best when he commented: ‘Learn to spell when you are inside.’
