Ryanairs new cabin bag policy came into force last week.

Lee Cimino decided to find a way to get round the rules and revealed it to the world in a hilarious tongue-in-cheek video.

The Brit – who admits he “loves” Ryanair – was filmed by a friend simply sewing bags into the inner lining of his coat.

He then shoved all his holiday clothes into them and headed off to the airport.

Having successfully made it through security, his nerves started to show when he approached the gates.

“So were getting on now but it looks like theyre properly checking every one,” Lee said in his bulkier than usual coat.

But he neednt have worried.

The clip then shows him walking up the stairs to the Ryanair plane with his coat still on.

He arrives in his destination of Belfast before the video come to an end.

Lee later told MailOnline how he was “annoyed” after he found out his flight to Belfast was just two days after the new rules came into force.

“I looked through my wardrobe and found an old coat, I found a friendly tailor,” he added.

“The tailor-made it so I could fit the entire contents of a roll-on cabin bag into the lining of my coat.

“We use a local tailor in Tunstall.

“They absolutely loved the idea and threw in some of their own ideas when creating this upgrade to my coat.

“They havent yet charged me so Ill be keeping an eye out for the invoice.”

After Lees video went viral, a Ryanair spokesperson said: “Thanks to our larger free small bag allowance (40% bigger) and cheaper checked-in bag option (£8 for a 10kg bag), Ryanair customers can bring all they need without having to board the aircraft looking like the Michelin Man or Joey from Friends.

“Weve received lots of positive feedback from customers and airports across Europe on our new bag policy, which is leading to faster check-in, security and boarding, and improved punctuality.”

The new Ryanair police means passengers will now only be able to bring one piece of hand luggage on board – unless you pay extra.

You can either pay £6 for priority boarding when book to bring the second bang on board, or pay £8 for an extra bag of up to 10kg.

Huge queues were seen at Stansted Airport last Thursday on the first day of the rules being implemented.
