Apple is known for obsessively making its gadgets smaller and smaller.
But now it’s been claimed the next iPhone could be even bigger than any Apple handset that has gone before.
Apple is secretly working on a new phone with a massive 6.5 inch screen, Bloomberg has claimed.
This will use a similar screen to the edge-to-edge display fitted to the iPhone X.
So what on Earth are we going to call this mythical new phone?
Rumours suggested it could be named the iPhone X, 9 or even XL.
Yet Bloomberg suggested it’s been given the codename D33, although this is unlikely to be its final moniker.

‘This is a big deal,’ said Gene Munster, a co-founder of Loup Ventures and Apple expert.
‘When you have a measurable upgrade in screen size, people go to update their phone in droves. We saw that with the iPhone 6, and we think this is setting up to be a similar step up in growth.’
Apple is also expected to be planning an entirely new cheaper iPhone, because the more affordable iPhone 8 is very similar to previous models and budget-happy fans might want to buy something new.
