Celebrities have defended the Duchess of Sussex after a trailer for an Australian documentary described her as "a fiend and a monster".
Mia Farrow, Jameela Jamil and Davina McCall are among the stars who criticised the minute-long advert for 60 Minutes Australia – with some accusing the programme of being racist.
The promo claimed it will show how "Meghan Markle lost her sparkle – from adored to insufferable in less than a year".
Shame on you for airing this trash. – Great Britain is fortunate to have this intelligent, compassionate, beautiful woman in the Royal Family. In her, Prince Harry has found happiness and for that we rejoice.

Soundbites from a series of supposed "experts" also appear – including controversial columnist Katie Hopkins and TV personality Lizzie Cundy.
In the clip, Hopkins calls Meghan "a no one" before attacking the royal's "bad clothes".

The former reality TV star then accused the Duchess of Sussex of being a hypocrite because she uses private jets despite being vocal about climate change.
Hopkins, who once called African migrants "cockroaches", has aligned herself with various far-right media outlets since moving on from roles at The Sun, the Mail Online and LBC.

Cundy described Meghan as "manipulating", claiming the former actress simply wanted to date a celebrity.
Another interviewee called her "a fiend, a monster and a hypocrite".
American actress Mia Farrow tweeted: "Shame on you for airing this trash. – Great Britain is fortunate to have this intelligent, compassionate, beautiful woman in the Royal Family. In her, Prince Harry has found happiness and for that we rejoice."
In a follow up message, Farrow wrote: "With all due respect- this smug racist babble is appalling, idiotic, distressing and disgusting."
The Good Place star Jameela Jamil wrote: "You stupid, anti-black, scum bags. This is a f***ing pantomime, not journalism."
Are you guys for real ? This is pathetic journalism … and smacks of racism
